Easy Fig Jam Meatballs

Jump to recipe ▼

Ingredients (~6-8 servings)

  • 1, 18 oz jar fig jam
  • 1, 12 oz jar Heinz chili sauce
  • 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 bag frozen meatballs (chicken, beef, or pork)
  • Orange zest, for serving

Combine Everything in the Slow Cooker

In the base of your slow cooker, combine the fig jam, chili sauce, and orange juice.

Give it a good stir to break up the jam – it’ll clump at first but smooths out as it heats.

Add the frozen meatballs and toss to coat them in the sauce.

Cook on Low for 4 Hours

Set your slow cooker to LOW and cook for 4 hours.

The meatballs just need to heat through since they’re already cooked; the sauce will thicken slightly as it cooks.

Give them a stir halfway through if you think about it, but it’s not necessary.

Serve with Orange Zest

Top the meatballs with fresh orange zest right before serving.

You can serve them directly from the slow cooker to keep them warm, or arrange on a plate with toothpicks.

The sauce is sticky enough that it won’t drip much when people grab them.

Easy Fig Jam Meatballs

This is a simple appetizer that feeds 6-8 people and requires zero effort – just dump everything in a crockpot. The fig jam + orange zest makes it feel “fancier” than regular grape jelly meatballs.
