Whopper Cookies

These cookies taste like malted milk balls but in cookie form - the malted milk powder really makes them stand out from regular chocolate chip cookies.

Ingredients

Ingredients (~18 cookies)

  • 1/2 cup salted butter softened
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup + 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp malted milk powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup malted milk balls coarsely chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375F.
  • Cream softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar with electric mixer for 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in egg and vanilla, scraping down bowl sides.
  • Whisk together flour, malted milk powder, baking soda, and salt in separate bowl.
  • Add dry ingredients to butter mixture and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and coarsely chopped malted milk balls.
  • Scoop dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving 2 inches between cookies.
  • Bake 8-10 minutes until edges are set and lightly golden.
  • Cool on baking sheet 2 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.

Notes

Chop malted milk balls into chunks about half their original size, not powder. Centers may look slightly underbaked but will finish cooking on the pan.
