Easy Spinach Dip

This is a basic spinach dip that takes ~15 minutes to throw together and uses stuff I always have around - sour cream, mayo, and frozen spinach. It's cheap, simple, and works for any gathering where you need something people can just grab and eat.

Ingredients

Ingredients (~12 servings)

  • 1 1/4 cups sour cream
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 package frozen chopped spinach 10 oz, thawed and drained
  • 3 Tbsp minced chives plus more for garnish
  • Carrot and celery sticks for serving
  • Blue corn tortilla chips or crackers for serving
  • French bread or baguette for serving

Instructions

  • Squeeze thawed spinach in kitchen towel until completely dry, removing all excess moisture.
  • Mix sour cream, mayo, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, cayenne, mustard, and Worcestershire in large bowl.
  • Stir until smooth, then fold in squeezed spinach and chives.
  • Let dip rest 10 minutes to blend flavors.
  • Garnish with extra chives and serve with carrot sticks, chips, or bread.

Notes

Thoroughly draining spinach prevents watery dip.
