Chunky Guacamole
This guac hits the right balance - mashed enough to hold together but chunky enough that you get distinct bites of avocado, tomato, and onion. I always go heavy on the lime juice since it keeps everything bright and prevents browning.

Ingredients
Ingredients (~6 servings)

large ripe avocados
preferably Haas
▢

small yellow onion
~1/2 cup, finely chopped

jalapeño pepper
seeds and ribs removed, finely diced

medium tomato
seeds removed and finely diced
▢
1
to 2 cloves garlic
minced or pressed
▢

Tbsp
finely chopped fresh cilantro
▢

to 3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
to taste

ground cumin

to 3/4 tsp kosher salt
to taste

ground chipotle pepper

Instructions
Cut avocados in half, remove pits, and scoop flesh into a bowl.
Mash with a fork until chunky but not smooth.
Add onion, tomato, jalapeño, garlic, and cilantro to the bowl.
Add 2 Tbsp lime juice, cumin, 1/2 tsp salt, and chipotle pepper if using.
Gently fold everything together until just combined.
Taste and adjust with additional salt and lime juice as needed.
Serve immediately or cover tightly and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
Lime juice brightens flavor and slows browning.
