Bakery Style Monster Cookies

These are large, chewy cookies made with peanut butter, oats, chocolate chips, and M&Ms. The dough is straightforward and requires about an hour to chill before baking.

Ingredients

Ingredients (18 large cookies)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour 250g
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter 226g, room temperature
  • 1 cup + 2 Tbsp brown sugar 225g, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar 100g
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter 260g
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats 64g
  • 1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp chocolate chips 100g
  • 3/4 cup M&Ms 150g

Instructions

  • Whisk flour, baking powder, and baking soda in medium bowl.
  • Beat butter with both sugars until light and fluffy, 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix in peanut butter until combined.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract, mix well.
  • Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mix on low until dough forms.
  • Fold in oats, chocolate chips, and M&Ms.
  • Cover and chill dough for 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 375F and line baking sheet with parchment.
  • Scoop 1/4 cup dough balls, place 3-4 inches apart on sheet.
  • Bake 14-15 minutes until edges are set and golden brown.
  • Cool on pan 5 minutes before transferring to wire rack.

Notes

Makes 18 large cookies. Dough can be chilled overnight if needed.
